Self-taught Baker & Cake Decorator, Rethabile Moatshe or commonly known as Thabi founded URBAN CAKES back in August 2020 during a pandemic, with the support of her mother and now Executive Bakery Assistant. 

Thabi grew up watching her mother bake and try out new recipes almost every other day. It eventually grew on her, when she started selling muffins for R5.00 in High School which has now grown into a fully fletched and increasingly successful home-based bakery in Nina Park that is now available on one of the most downloaded and popular food delivery apps - UBER EATS! They both always strive to deliver quality products, no matter how big or small, so that their customers (people like you) can have an unforgettable experience without breaking the bank.
